It'e Been a Long Time...

My, oh my, it certainly has been a while since I've posted on here. Sorry for the delay, dear friends...I was thoroughly enjoying my vacation for the past week. After three flights, I am now home. Thus sleeping in (and staying up...) is over. No school and work...ummm...not anymore. Bright and early tomorrow morning normal life starts again. Work in gardens, school to be done, and mouths to feed. But for the fortunate souls like me, as much as I anticipate a break every so often, I totally enjoy coming back to "normality." [smile] It may be a few days before I get pictures up, but they will come with time.

Now I leave you to ponder this quote I've been thinking about lately.

"To surrender a precious dream is a fearful thing, but to pursue anything but the full measure of the glory of God is a wasted life." -Joshua Eddy

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Hey there friends, followers, and stalkers. How are you all? I've missed posting on here for you all. We went to church on Saturday night, and I almost forgot that today was Sunday. But alas, here I am. Today we're leaving for Yellowstone...through Washington, Idaho, Montana, and them Whyoming! I've had a good time in WA so far. Last night we went to a huge parade, which was pretty cool. I know that I'll have a ton of pictures to share, but I'm not sure yet if I'll be posting while we are away this week. I may have some time though. So long, and come back soon! In Christ, Sveta
1. Rainbow
My sister and I took the bus downtown on Friday, and walked accross the bridge of Spokane Falls/River. See the hidden rainbow in the midst of rushing water?

2. Letters
We were blessed to sit by a friendly, down to earth lady on our first flight. She was so much fun to talk to, and also let us play scrabble on her iPad. Great way to pass time!

3. Fluffy
This picture is from the parade...is that a fluffy dress  or what?!

4. Metal
I couldn't really think of anything, but I figured airplane wings were made of some sort of metal.

5. Trees
Okay, this is where my imagination really had to work wonders. The only pictures I have with me right now are the one's I've taken on this trip; none of which had anything to do with trees. But I really wanted to post this, so I looked at that brocoli and thought, "Why not? Don't people always call brocoli 'little trees'?"
Have a blessed week!
(P.S. How do you like the new look?)

Fly Away, Fly Away

My sister and I arrived in WA late last night early this morning! I took a few pictures from the air. This specific one was taken as we were landing into the Las Vegas airport. I'll write a post more about it with more pictures later, but I just wanted to stop in and let ya know what's going on here!

Rebecca | Senior 2012

Wow! This girl is amazing. She can sew, knit, crochet, bake (she makes her first wedding cake this week!), draw, paint, and is great with kids. Besides that she's beautiful and loves to read. Becca and I have been good friends for the past two years, and when she asked me, last week, to take her senior pictures I was excited! Afterall, I need more practice on portraits with my new lens and it was great to catch up. I know we're a few years apart, but it doesn't really feel that way and I'm so glad to be your friend, Becca!

Ohhh...did I mention we went out during the golden hour? LOVE!
