The TV Psalm

The TV is my shepherd, I shall turn it on.
It makes me to lie down on the sofa. It leads me away from the Scriptures.
It ravishes my soul.
It leads me in the paths of ignorance and violence, for the sponsor's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the shadow of my responsibilities of my family
and my Creator, there will be no interruptions, for the TV is with me.
It's cable and its remote, they comfort me.
It prepares a commercial before me. It plants lies within my mind.
It anoints my head with materialism. My coveting runs over.
Surely laziness and ignorance shall follow me all the days of my life
and I shall dwell in the house watching TV and its propaganda forever.

Welcome to Cinncinati, I haven't been to a city in so long. So glad I wasn't driving, if I was I would have been lost!
This was so fun, and there was some of the nations best speakers there. John Rosemond, John Stonestreet (my fav.), Susan Bauer, Woody Robertson, Doug Phillips, The Human Caculator, ect.....don't forget Tim Hawkins!!! :)
Chuck Edwards spoke on Movies and Worldview, and Postmodernism. Very good speaker. Had some very good points.

There were so many beautiful churchs.

John 14:27 ~ Peace

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Amazing Love ~Peace

I’m forgiven because You were forsaken,

I’m accepted, You were condemned.

I am alive and well, Your spirit is within me,

Because You died and rose again.

Amazing love,

How can it be

That You, my King, should die for me?

Amazing love,

I know it’s true.

It’s my joy to honor You,

In all I do, I honor You.

I’m forgiven because You were forsaken,

I’m accepted, You were condemned.

I am alive and well, Your spirit is within me,

Because You died and rose again.

Legend of the Dogwood Tree

In Jesus' time, the dogwood grew

To a stately size and a lovely hue.

'Twas strong and firm it's branches interwoven

For the cross of Christ its timbers were chosen.

Seeing the distress at this use of their wood

Christ made a promise which still holds good:

"Never again shall the dogwood grow

Large enough to be used so.

Slender and twisted, it shall be

With blossoms like the cross for all to see.

As blood stains the petals marked in brown

The blossom's center wears a thorny crown.

All who see it will remember Me

Crucified on a cross from the dogwood tree.

Cherished and protected, this tree shall be

A reminder to all of my agony."
